a message from Victoria:
LOVE, LAUGHTER, MUSIC…
LOVE, LAUGHTER, MUSIC
Such has been the beautifully blessed soundtrack of my family’s lives where encouraging words were spoken over us, and the humor we experienced gathered together could be hallmarked by loud group guffaws bellowing through the neighborhood. This drew others to us.
Mom taught dance at Arthur Murrays (at the time she met dad) in addition to being able to sing, play the piano, maracas and castanets. Dad could sing, play some piano as well, was an incredible mimic/impersonator, host, and comedian sharing these parts of himself during his radio DJ days. Wonderful varieties of music filled our house regularly.
They told me as a baby they suction cupped me in my tub seat to the piano bench and let me bang around on the keys getting great pleasure out of my enthusiasm. I still employ that method to this day… kidding! And the piano lessons I took from our neighbor next door, revealed my inability to read music as I was playing “by ear”. That has never changed.
My exceptional sister (she could sing with vibrato at age 2) and I collaborated efforts, writing music for fun, recording ourselves, and then years later ministering in church during worship.
It was my senior year of high school when the entire family really came to know Jesus in the most intimate personal way and from there, I found myself marking my journey through song writing.
The road since has been filled with miracles, heartaches, near misses and angelic assistance, traumas, accidents, joys, sorrows, difficulties and graciousness beyond imagination, favor, love. The list of life experiences is endless, but one thing is certain.
HIS promises are true and HE will never leave you or forsake you.
I know I don’t want to do anything without him.
Thank you, Victoria Knauf
